Food Standards Scotland has launched a public consultation on how allergen and ingredient information is provided for non-prepacked foods — including meals from restaurants, cafés, takeaways and bakeries. This consultation is open until 17 May 2026.
Clear, accurate allergen information is essential for people living with food allergies to stay safe and make informed choices. This consultation is an important opportunity for individuals, families and the allergy community to share their experiences and help improve transparency and safety.
