Ready to fundraise for Anaphylaxis UK?

The starting point is a great fundraising idea. If you haven’t yet found the “thing” that you want to do, here are some of our fundraisers’ favourites to inspire you:

  • Run a race
  • Trek or cycle to a landmark
  • Host a quiz night
  • Hold an allergy-friendly bake sale
  • Organise a charity sweepstake
  • Auction of promises
  • Host a Come Dine With Me evening
  • Do a head shave
  • A sponsored silence

If the above doesn’t take your fancy, download our A-Z of fundraising for some more great ideas – there’s something suitable for every member of the family.

Or, feel free to think outside the box and come up with a personal fundraising challenge. Think about what you enjoy doing, how much you would like to raise, and how much time you’ll be able to commit. There’s a fundraising idea out there for everyone!

Remember, no matter what you decide to do, your wonderful efforts to raise much-needed funds and awareness to support those living with allergies is much appreciated.

Next steps

Once you have your fundraising idea and set a date, the next step is to…

  • Set up a fundraising page

We recommend a site like JustGiving or Enthuse.

Remember to explain why you are raising much-needed awareness and funds for Anaphylaxis UK – what’s the connection? Why is it important to you?

When it comes to setting a fundraising target, be brave! Set an ‘ambitious’ but achievable goal. And be creative. Running a marathon (26.2 miles)? Why not set your target as £2,620? Or ask for a £14 donation from everyone to highlight the 14 major allergens.

  • Start raising money!

Once you have set up and personalised your page, you can start raising money! Here are some tips to help get you started:

    • Before you share your page, ask someone close to you if they will be the first to make a donation
    • Check out our downloadable fundraising resources to help raise those pounds and pennies
    • Social media is your friend when it comes to promoting your fundraising activity to your network and sharing your online fundraising page
    • Download our free Fundraising Pack with more useful tips on how to make your fundraiser a success
  • #SocialMedia

Use social media to share your fundraising challenge and link to your fundraising page.

Remember to tag Anaphylaxis UK in any social media posts promoting your challenge! We can re-post to our followers – you never know, they may generously support you with a donation and inspire their own challenge.
