A student researcher at the University of Nottingham is inviting individuals aged 18–25 with a diagnosed food allergy to take part in an online questionnaire exploring the lived experiences of young adults managing food allergies.

The study aims to understand how managing a food allergy is influenced by factors such as social pressures, increasing independence, and public understanding, and how these experiences shape daily life and self-management of the condition.

If you choose to take part, you will be asked to complete an online survey consisting of 10 open-ended questions, which will ask about your personal experiences of living with a food allergy. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Please note: participation is entirely voluntary. You are free to withdraw at any point before, during, or after the study without giving a reason. You may withdraw by:

  • Closing the questionnaire without submitting it
  • Deleting all responses at the end of the survey
  • Contacting the research team within 72 hours of completion to withdraw your data anonymously

All data collected will be kept confidential and used for research purposes only.
