A master’s student in Allergy at the University of Southampton is inviting young people aged 16–18 years old to take part in a research study exploring the experiences of young people with food allergies as they move away from home.

The study aims to understand differences in:

  • Young people’s background knowledge of their condition
  • Their attitudes and beliefs around food safety
  • Their behaviours, such as risk-taking and carrying medication

If you decide to take part, you will be interviewed virtually for around 30–60 minutes. You are encouraged to discuss participation with your parents, guardians, relatives, or friends, but the decision to take part is entirely your own.

All personal information will be kept confidential and will not be published in the research. Participation is completely voluntary and free of charge.

As a thank you, you will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £35 Amazon vouchers.

Please note: you have the right to withdraw at any time without giving a reason, and this will not affect your rights as a participant.
