Following the sad death of fifteen year old Megan Lee, two men have been arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter by gross negligence.
Megan suffered a severe allergic reaction after eating an Indian takeaway in Hyndburn on Friday 30th December. She was admitted to Royal Blackburn Hospital but passed away on New Year’s Day.
A post mortem has taken place to establish cause of death but the full results are not yet known.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign offers its deepest sympathies to Megan’s family and friends at this difficult time. We will be monitoring this case very carefully as it progresses.
