As we say goodbye to an expansive and innovative year, we are proud to reflect on the incredible achievements of our AllergyWise® training programme and the many inspiring organisations and professionals we have worked with along the way.

2025 was a landmark year for AllergyWise®, as we expanded our reach beyond education to support safer working, learning and care environments for people living with serious allergies across the UK.

Growing and evolving our training offer

This year saw the introduction and development of our brand-new School Nurses course, designed to support nurses employed by schools and Allergy Specialist Nurses with responsibility for training school staff. Alongside this, we refreshed and strengthened our Healthcare Professionals course, ensuring our content remains current, practical and evidence-based.

Further course updates and enhancements are planned for 2026. To stay up to date, make sure you follow us on LinkedIn

Face-to-face training: reaching communities nationwide

2025 marked a return to — and growth in — face-to-face training, with increased delivery across schools and a wide range of other settings, including foster agencies, care homes, businesses and early years providers.

One of the standout moments of the year was being invited by the Benedict Blythe Foundation — a key voice in advocating for better allergy safety in schools — to lead allergy training for MPs at Westminster. This important opportunity highlighted the growing recognition of AllergyWise® as a leader in allergy education and training at a national level.

In July, we also took our training across the sea to the Isle of Man, where Anaphylaxis UK’s Education and AllergyWise® Manager Tracey Dunn delivered a series of tailored allergy awareness and training sessions to communities, schools and healthcare professionals.

We were proud to contribute our expertise to a range of external events and programmes throughout the year. Tracey took part in informative webinars with partners including Twinkl, Cornerstone Safeguarding, Early Years TV and Wiltshire Council, helping to extend the reach of allergy education even further.

Accessible allergy education

Alongside our in-person work, our online learning suite continued to deliver accessible, high-quality allergy education to learners across the UK.

In 2025 alone, over 15,000 AllergyWise® courses were completed, including our most popular course, AllergyWise® for Schools, which saw more than 11,800 learners successfully complete their training. This continued uptake reflects the trust placed in AllergyWise® by schools, early years settings and organisations nationwide.

Celebrating excellence: AllergyWise® School Awards

In 2025, we were delighted to congratulate 20 schools and early years settings on achieving the AllergyWise® School Award — a prestigious mark of excellence recognising outstanding commitment to allergy safety.

This includes schools first awarded in 2024 who successfully renewed their award for a second year, continuing to lead the way in protecting pupils with allergies through robust policies, staff training and best practice, supported by Anaphylaxis UK.

Keeping pace with developments: EURneffy

This year also saw the important announcement of a new type of adrenaline device, now available in the UK on private prescription. Our team worked quickly and diligently to ensure this information was accurately and promptly incorporated into the AllergyWise® curriculum, alongside other emerging research and developments in allergy care.

Looking ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, we have ambitious plans to further expand AllergyWise®, including increasing our face-to-face training offer and continuing to develop high-quality, accessible learning across sectors.
