A study (published May 2022) into the detection and management of milk allergy in young children has concluded with the development of 38 consensus recommendations for healthcare professionals. These recommendations aim to safely reduce overdiagnosis and better support breastfeeding women whose children have suspected a milk allergy.
The Detection and management of milk allergy: Delphi consensus study involved 17 experts in general practice, nutrition, midwifery, health visiting, lactation support and relevant areas of paediatrics, located in Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa, Australia and Asia.
