A message from Starbucks:
Starbucks is known for bringing innovative new beverages to market, and with many of our customers enjoying their handcrafted beverages with dairy alternatives, we are increasingly looking to build up our portfolio of plant-based products to provide the right choices for each customer’s preferences and tastes.
On the 5th January, Starbucks will be introducing a new dairy alternative that adds two new nut allergens (HAZELNUT and CASHEWS) to our operation that we have not been handling previously.
The safety of all our customers is always our greatest priority, and we are highlighting and reminding our customers of the introduction of the new allergens as clearly as possible, to ensure all our nut allergic customers are aware of the change.
Although we take every effort to ensure separation between different allergens, due to the way that Starbucks prepares its beverages and uses shared equipment to prepare and serve them, there may be a risk of cross-contamination of these new hazelnut and cashew allergens.
