The University of Manchester is looking for a member of the public who can give a patient’s perspective of allergies to a group of master’s students who are studying the immune system. By talking about your experiences, you could help the students to gain a greater understanding of the impact their research could have on people’s lives.

What does it involve?

  • Talk about your experiences of one of the conditions above to a small group of students.
  • Listen to student presentations about their research. (Please note that that this is laboratory based research and may take many years before it has an impact on patient care)

For more details about what this will involve, look at the additional information sheet on the application form.

There will be two events, which will take place on Zoom, and you will need to be available on both dates:

  • Wednesday 10th April: 2pm – 4pm
  • Thursday 29th August 2 – 3.45pm

You will be given £50 for the March event and £45 for the event in August as a thank you.

To submit your application, click here and fill in the short questionnaire.
