We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our Factsheets were commended in the British Medical Association (BMA) Patient Information Awards 2019. Our Adrenaline Factsheet and our Peanut & Tree Nut Factsheet were both nominated with the Anaphylaxis Campaign team attending the awards event in London on Tuesday 10th September.

Our Peanut and Tree Nut Factsheet was also up for the overall BMA Patient Information Award, aimed at those with a peanut or tree nut allergy or parents/carers of children with a peanut or tree nut allergy. Peanuts and tree nuts are among the most common foods that trigger severe allergic reactions and are included in the 14 food allergens required to be labelled on pre-packed food products.

A spokesperson from the BMA said: “This is a very clear, concise, accurate and well referenced information sheet for people with nut allergy. It is a practical guide for sufferers to the nature of the problem, the risks, avoidance and treatment and management pathways. All very clearly presented with reference to legitimise the content. I cannot fault it”.
