Join us from 1st – 7th October for a week dedicated to raising awareness about anaphylaxis and supporting those affected.
Over 30 years ago Anaphylaxis UK was set up with the principle objectives of preventing deaths from food-induced anaphylaxis and improving the quality of life for those living with serious allergies. Back then so little was known about severe allergies. People had little to no information and what was available was inadequate. Our mission, from day one, was to change that by providing credible and accurate information, training and support. And that is exactly what we’ve done for more than 30 years.
Whilst much great work has been done over the years to raise awareness of the seriousness of allergies and anaphylaxis, we believe there is still more to do to tackle the often ‘hidden’ emotional challenges that come with living with serious allergies.
Back in 2024 we used Anaphylaxis Awareness Week to launch our ‘Hidden Battle With Allergies’ campaign… It was a topic that sadly resonated with so many of you. With that in mind, we have chosen to continue to focus on the emotional challenges of living with allergies, with an emphasis this year on the importance of trusted information and support to help calm the emotional impact of living with allergies.
So we are calling on our community to get behind Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2025… whether it’s by supporting #WearItBright, sharing our information and resources, hosting an awareness event or giving us a shout out on social media, we can’t wait to get the world talking about anaphylaxis and serious allergies.
