Anaphylaxis UK, the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to supporting people living with serious allergies, has launched a brand-new training course for school nurses, alongside a refreshed version of its popular course for healthcare professionals.
With up to 8% of students (around 1-2 per class) living with food allergies and 20% of allergic reactions occurring in school, it’s never been more important for education staff to be prepared.
The new AllergyWise® for School Nurses equips school-employed nurses and Allergy Specialist Nurses with the knowledge and resources to train school staff in allergy management and emergency response.
The course is delivered in two parts:
The course also highlights inclusivity and safeguarding, helping schools foster supportive environments for all children.
Anaphylaxis UK has also relaunched its AllergyWise® for Healthcare Professionals course. This updated programme is designed for nurses, health visitors, and other healthcare professionals working in community and clinical settings. It provides essential knowledge on allergy and anaphylaxis management, aligned with the latest clinical guidance and best practice.
Anaphylaxis UK has over 10 years of proven impact of providing training of the highest quality. These two courses join the charity’s suite of comprehensive courses, including AllergyWise® for Schools and AllergyWise® for Early Years Settings.
Both courses are now available from the Anaphylaxis UK website.
