Why leave a gift in your Will?

After you have made provision for those you cherish, we’re inviting you to leave a gift to support our vital work and be part of our future. That way, we can be there for the allergic community – those living with serious allergies, their families, businesses, healthcare professionals, and education establishments – in whatever way they need us, for as long as they need us.

With your help, we will be able to increase our provision and accelerate our ultimate aim of creating a safe environment for everyone at risk of serious allergies across the UK.

How can I include Anaphylaxis UK in my Will? 

Any gift you leave can play a big part in the future of our charity. When considering a gift, there are two main types of bequest:

  • Residuary: A gift that is a share, or possibly all, of the balance of your estate. This means that once family and friends have been provided for, plus the payments of any debts and expenses, the remainder or a proportion of your estate can be pledged to your special charity
  • Pecuniary: A pledge of a specific sum of money to your chosen charity

How do I make a Will? 

Writing or changing your Will is an important decision. You can write your Will yourself, but we would strongly advise seeking professional legal advice. You also need to have your Will formally witnessed and signed to make it legally valid.

It is really straightforward to leave a gift in your Will to Anaphylaxis UK. When you meet with a solicitor, remember to have the following information to hand:
