Running the Paris Marathon 2026...

Cecilia

Cecilia will be running for her children, aged 3 and 6, who both live with serious nut allergies. “Every day comes with its own set of anxieties — school lunches, birthday parties, playdates — all situations most families take for granted. I’m doing this not only as a personal challenge, but to raise money for Anaphylaxis UK to help families like ours navigate daily life more safely and with greater confidence”. Bonne chance, Cecilia! Thanks so much for doing this for us.

Katherine

Katherine works for the NHS, but one day she wasn’t a healthcare professional, she was a daughter sitting beside her critically ill father. What should have been routine surgery for “Papa Pat”, ended in a serious anaphylactic reaction to medication administered. “Against all odds, he survived, but the experience changed our family forever and life is now different. That’s why I’m running for Anaphylaxis UK. See you at the finish line Papa!”. Thank you and huge well done with your journey so far, Katherine. Bonne chance!

Running the TCS London Marathon 2026...

Adam

When one of our runners had to unfortunately pull out of the London Marathon due to an injury, Adam came to the rescue with just 6 weeks notice! Adam’s run is in honour of his good friend, Jenson, who passed away from anaphylaxis in April 2024. “I had the pleasure of knowing Jenson since the start of University in York back in 2016, and grew close to him in later years thanks to football and friends. I will always remember him and celebrate what a brilliant guy he was, though I’m sure he would be laughing at me for running the London Marathon in his name!” says Adam. Huge thanks to Adam for joining our team at short notice and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you’re doing. Enjoy race day!

Lucy

Driven by her 10 year old son and husband, both at risk of anaphylaxis, Lucy is training hard all the way up in Fife (in all weathers!) and clocking up the training miles. “Anaphylaxis is very much a part of our family life. We are constantly learning, navigating and managing the diagnoses while trying to lead a normal, inclusive lives. But it can feel like a constant battle. Given we had no idea what anaphylaxis was before, Anaphylaxis UK has educated us with this steep learning curve to help keep us safe. It’s going to be very emotional on the day, but absolutely worth it!”. Lucy, huge thank you for everything you’re doing, and we’ll be cheering you on at the sidelines with Jack and Graeme on the 26th April!

Simon

Ballot places for the London Marathon are like gold dust, and Simon was one of the lucky ones to get a place for 2026! With so many wonderful charities out there to run for, Simon chose Anaphylaxis UK. “I haven’t needed to turn to Anaphylaxis UK for personal reasons, but the company I work for has products and services that encompass everything to do with allergy, including environmental and food allergen testing. We highly value the work that Anaphylaxis UK do and I feel honoured to run for such a great cause”. Thank you Simon and good luck for the big day!

Wayne & Lauren

Father and daughter, Wayne and Lauren, who are gearing up for their first marathon! The family has turned to Anaphylaxis UK over the past 20 years to support Lauren’s allergy journey. “We have both entered the London Marathon ballot for the last few years and agreed that if one of us ever secured a place, we should run for Anaphylaxis UK and use it as an opportunity to raise funds for a charity we support. Lauren was one of the lucky ones to get a ballot place this year, and I was fortunate to be offered one of Anaphylaxis UK’s charity spots. We are both determined to cross the finish line together!”. Enjoy this wonderful experience together and best of luck!
