Parent and Family Workshop Programme
In conjunction with the local allergy clinic at Llandough, the Anaphylaxis Campaign is holding a Family Workshop on Tuesday 25 September 2012 at the Llandough Post Graduate Centre, Cardiff from 10am until 2.30pm.
The event is for families with allergic young people aged between 11-18.
The Workshop will be split into two sessions; parents in one and young people in the other and aims to give practical advice and information on living with severe allergies.
We will be joined at the Workshop by various members of the allergy team in Cardiff who are supporting this local event.
To register for the Workshop click on the button below. Workshops are free of charge although we welcome donations towards our work.
“Really great session, came away feeling very positive and with a son who didn’t feel so alone in terms of his allergy”
– Mum to an 11 year old.
“I found it good to talk to people in the same situations as me, this has helped me to be more open about my allergy so I can talk to my friends about it without being embarrassed”
– allergic young person aged 13.
“The content was fantastic and the trainer was excellent at leading the workshop and ensuring that we all took something from the afternoon. The trainer has certainly galvanised my two kids from their apathy and it seems she managed to get across the importance of being aware of the risks too without scaring them half to death”.
"My son attended one of the youth training seminars and I cannot recommend it enough – as he had a reaction at a party last month and knew exactly what to do and was able to administer his EpiPen (adrenaline injector) himself. Can you pass on my heartfelt thanks to all those involved in organising and running the training? Thank you, thank you”.
