A big thank you to all our business members who joined us for the Business Forum on 10th July at Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL).
Our forums focus on current challenges affecting the food industry in relation to allergens, including recent events, upcoming guidance, and industry challenges. Each session provides a space for professionals from across the UK to come together, share insights, and collaborate on solutions — always with consumer safety at the core.
This month’s forum featured valuable updates and perspectives, including:
- Allergen management from a large manufacturer’s viewpoint — PepsiCo shared their latest approach and practices in managing allergens across their operations.
- New guidance from the Industry Advisory Group — An overview of the “Consistent Approach to Risk Management for Retailers and Food Manufacturers,” offering a unified framework to support effective allergen management across the supply chain.
Our Chief Executive Simon Williams also shared an overview of our charity’s upcoming events and key dates, including Anaphylaxis Awareness Week 2025 and our Business Symposium taking place this November.
