The Anaphylaxis Campaign Local Information Volunteering Experience (LIVE Volunteering)
LIVE volunteering offers the opportunity to get involved on a more ad hoc basis.
As a LIVE volunteer all we ask is that you contribute by distributing information about the work of the Anaphylaxis Campaign a few times a year. You could get involved by delivering our posters locally to; libraries, community centres, schools, GP surgeries, sports centres and other appropriate public places. We will send you the pack of posters; all you need to do is use your local knowledge to help us raise awareness across the U.K.
There is no obligation to help more than you have time to and we are open to suggestions as to how you think we may operate most effectively in your local area.
If you would like to apply to be a LIVE Volunteer or have any questions contact us
I’ve been a LIVE volunteer for Anaphylaxis campaign since October 2014. I’m enjoying circulating information within my community of Swansea about the campaign’s provision of up to the minute information on allergy related issues . More information should be available in doctors surgeries, schools, public places and anywhere related to food or health. I have a nut allergy discovered in childhood , particularly pine nuts and have had carried epipens for many years. At 42 I thought I knew enough about it and then I discovered the Anaphylaxis Campaign, I’m better informed now.
Volunteering and making a difference within Anaphylaxis campaign is rewarding and really necessary. Have you thought about offering some time? The time commitment I make is small but if more of us get involved, the contribution can be huge. Support and all the resources you need are freely available from the volunteer co-ordinator. I am a volunteer for the Anaphylaxis Campaign because they have helped me in my darkest days when I found out my son had allergies to egg, milk, sesame seed and anaphylactic to nuts. Thank fully he has outgrown the egg and milk allergy. I know if I need advice they’re always there for me, I feel it’s about giving back as and when I can. I have been on live radio for them and been a spokesperson.
