What is Orange Wig Day? The idea is simple and flexible: The Anaphylaxis Campaign asks our supporters to wear orange wigs during their daily activities – as work, at the gym, to school, out to lunch, etc.
Why? The goal of the day is to raise awareness, raise money and show others with severe allergies that they are not alone
How can I fundraise with a silly orange wig? You can do absolutely anything! Here’s some of our favourite fundraising ideas.
Do I have to wear one of your wigs? Of course not! If you’d have more fun wearing a different orange wig, please do so. We found a few other styles available online here.
Orange really isn’t my colour. What can I do? We’re partial to orange, but if you have another wig that suits you, wear it! The purpose of the wig is to draw attention to the severity of allergies and anaphylaxis; any wig can do that if you really can’t pull off the orange 🙂
I already have an orange wig from a previous Orange Wig Day. Do I need to sign up? Yes, please! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to say you are taking part again so we can keep you up-to-date.
My colleagues want to celebrate Orange Wig Day too. Can we register as a company? Of course! Please register your workplace and make sure to download the company fundraising pack too.
My child’s school would like to celebrate Orange Wig Day. What can they do? Orange Wig Day is such a great activity for schools! Every school does it a bit differently depending on how much time they have to devote to the day – all the information can be found here.
