We are currently seeking to appoint two new Trustees to our Board (current membership: Nine trustees) to complement the skills and experience of our existing Trustees and enhance our ability to plan for the future. We have an open and friendly Board and while Trustees take their responsibilities very seriously, Board meetings are relaxed and informal.
As a Trustee of the Campaign, you will have a shared legal responsibility for the overall management and decision-making of the charity. The Campaign is governed through its Memorandum and Articles of Association and is a registered Company (Reg. No. 4133242) as well as a Charity (Reg. No. 1085527).
In addition to the responsibilities which are generic to all Trustees, we are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in the following areas:
- Strategy and planning in a charitable or non-profit environment
- Food manufacture and food technology
- Campaigning & advocacy
- Fundraising strategy
- Medical / clinical or academic knowledge of anaphylaxis and related issues
- Experience / knowledge of primary / secondary education
The successful applicant will be required to attend Board meetings, held approx. quarterly throughout the year, and a Trustees’ Strategy Day.
Most of these meetings are held in London, one Board meeting is held in Farnborough, where the Campaign office is located. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
In addition to the Board meetings, Trustees are expected to have a hands-on approach and a willingness to engage fully with the activities of the Campaign, including fundraising and events.
If you are interested in joining the Board of this exciting and growing charity, please send your CV to: Polly Dickinson, Business Manager via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
