The Anaphylaxis Campaign has been chosen by Waitrose Farnham as one of its charities in its ‘Community Matters’ programme.
Gillian Bushell our Farnham Support Group leader went along on Saturday 17th June to collect a cheque for £260 which is a fantastic donation. She said, “I’d like to thank all the local shoppers who put their tokens towards helping those living with severe allergies. It really helps us to know that whilst buying a jar of pesto or bar of chocolate, people are remembering that, for some of us, such foodstuffs could prove deadly. Just this week, one of the children in our growing group here in Farnham ate a small piece of chocolate with traces of nut which caused such a severe allergic reaction that adrenaline was required and further hospital treatment. Thank you Waitrose and all who shop in here for your help and support.”
