We carried out a survey of our members in 2000-2001 looking at severe allergic reactions. The results of the survey provided important information which has been used to improve the management of anaphylaxis.
To see if there have been any changes in the incidence or pattern of severe allergic reactions in the last 13 years we are planning to run this survey again. A group of allergy nurse specialists called the ‘Answer Nurses’ are undertaking this study.
We really hope that you do not have to participate in this survey, however if you or a family member suffer a severe allergic reaction between October 2013 through to and including March 2014 please can you complete a confidential questionnaire telling us all about the reaction (once you are back home and recovered).
If you have more than one severe allergic reaction within this time, please complete the questionnaire for each severe reaction.
The questionnaire is also available in paper form – if you prefer this please let us know and we will post this to you.
Thank you in advance for your help.
