EAACI pledges to push for stronger allergen labelling rules

The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) has said it will push for stricter EU legislation on allergen labelling, saying that current laws on ‘may contain’ labelling are insufficient to protect those with food allergies.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign’s CEO Lynne Regent attended an EAACI conference last week in Nice which addressed relevant allergy-related issues, such as the onset of food allergy, diagnosis and the current treatment of food allergy.
