Links Policy

The Anaphylaxis Campaign website includes links that offer useful and relevant help or information to the allergic public, their families or those interacting with them (e.g. schools, food companies, health professionals).

Links to external websites

The Anaphylaxis Campaign has tried to ensure that all the websites linked to contain reliable information but users should also assess any external websites they visit. We also advise our users to be guided by their GP or consultant.

If an external organisation requests to be linked to The Anaphylaxis Campaign, we perform a rigorous internal scrutiny of that organisation’s website before agreeing to that link. We do not link to external sites in return for cash, services or any other consideration in kind. We do not normally link to sites that are not free to access.

The decision of The Anaphylaxis Campaign to include or exclude new external links is final.

How we assess if websites are acceptable for The Anaphylaxis Campaign

The Anaphylaxis Campaign asks that external websites:

• clearly state the source(s) of funding for the information presented

• label information presented with dates of last update

• are a useful and valuable resource to people with severe allergies

• are based on current, good clinical research evidence that is verifiable from other sources

• are regularly reviewed and updated in line with emerging evidence-based material

• develop their content with clinical input through a clinical advisor or board

The Anaphylaxis Campaign is not responsible for the content of external websites. This is because:

• The Anaphylaxis Campaign does not produce them or maintain/update them, and

• The Anaphylaxis Campaign cannot change them, and

• they can be changed without The Anaphylaxis Campaign's knowledge or agreement.

Some of our external links may be to websites that offer commercial services such as online purchases. The inclusion of a link to an external website from The Anaphylaxis Campaign should not be understood to be an endorsement of that website or the site's owners (or their products/services). The external website may contain hyperlinks to other sites or resources. The Anaphylaxis Campaign is not responsible for the availability of external sites or resources linked to that external website, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such sites or resources.
