Conferences and Events Programme

The Anaphylaxis Campaign regularly has a presence at Conferences and Events including distributing literature, having a Stand presence and contributing to Speaker Programmes.

18-22 September - The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Alliance Meeting, Washington, U.S.A. - our Chief Executive, Lynne Regent, will be representing The Anaphylaxis Campaign at the international meeting of Anaphylaxis organisations.

 

Workshops from The Anaphylaxis Campaign

The Anaphylaxis Campaign Parent Workshops

These Workshops run by The Anaphylaxis Campaign are designed for parents of children with severe allergy aged 3-10. The content of the Workshop aims to help parents to assess the risks associated with living with food allergy, topics covered include:

  • Managing an allergy at School

  • Eating out

  • Going to parties

  • Travelling

The Workshop will help parents to develop their confidence in making management decisions and working towards eventually 'letting go' and helping their child to manage their allergy for themselves.

The Anaphylaxis Campaign Family Workshops

Designed for youngsters with severe food allergy, aged 11 to 18 and their parents. Young people have their workshop in one room whilst the parents are in a totally separate room, however the 2 groups follow similar agendas and cover the same topics.

The Family Workshop, run by The Anaphylaxis Campaign, is for families where the youngster has made the transition to secondary school and will focus on risk assessment to facilitate the handing over of allergy management and responsibility to the allergic young person in a time and way that suits the whole family.
