How Schools Can Help
Supporting the Anaphylaxis Campaign
Means that you will make a real difference to the thousands of people in the UK affected by life-threatening allergies. Many parents feel unsure how to cope with their child's allergy and they turn to us for support. We are here to give them confidence in managing the risks associated with their allergic condition. With up to 2% of the population affected by life-threatening allergies, there may well be someone at your school who could benefit from the support of the Anaphylaxis Campaign. If you could display posters or would like someone to come and talk to your pupils during assembly time, please get in touch.
Fundraising - Get your school involved and have fun!
-
'Mufti' or 'dress down' days – or why not have a non-uniform day with a difference and ask pupils to wear particular colours or fancy dress?
-
Collections at school plays and concerts
-
Sponsored events. How about a sponsored read (the number of books read, the number of pages of a difficult book or the time spent reading in silence) or a sponsored swim or sponsored sunflower growing? We can provide sponsor forms and literature about the Campaign to assist with your fundraising events. Please contact us to discuss your plans.
For secondary schools - There are a variety of resources available from Giving Nation, designed to enable secondary schools to support their favourite charities. Giving Nation is the youth project of the Giving Campaign – an independent, national campaign supported by the voluntary sector and the Government. Pupils' achievements can be recognised through entering the Giving Nation Awards. For further details visit www.g-nation.co.uk
