McDonald’s Pancakes Contain Egg

It has been drawn to our attention that some McDonald’s Restaurants may be displaying old tray liners that don’t list egg as an ingredient in their pancakes.

McDonald’s pancakes do contain egg and should therefore be avoided by anyone with an egg allergy.

McDonald’s has confirmed that new tray liners were delivered to all UK restaurants on 29th April. These accurately list egg in the allergen section of the trayliner. In addition, all restaurants have received communication to instruct them to only use the most up to date trayliners, which are dated April 2009. The communication explains that the date can be found on the back of the trayliner in the bottom right hand corner and that the previous version contains incorrect allergen information which may provide customers with incorrect guidance.

McDonald’s has also confirmed that their  website - www.mcdonaldsmenu.info - clearly shows that their pancakes contain egg.
