Unilever would like to make all peanut and nut allergic consumers aware of a ‘may contain peanuts and nuts’ label on Marmite cereal bars. Both the bar and box in which 6 bars are sold have been laser printed with a ‘may contain peanuts and nuts’ warning. The individual bars are labelled in the same area as the other allergy information, however on the box the ‘may contain peanuts and nuts’ label is on the top of the box and separated from the rest of the allergy information. The Marmite bars are a new product and will be available in supermarkets from the 19th October. Initially the bars will be sold only Morrisons, followed by Waitrose (from 16th November ) and then other outlets from January.
