Lincoln Medical helps The Anaphylaxis Campaign develop its AllergyWise training

Following the successful AllergyWise face to face training and resources that was available to school nurses in the UK up to December 2009, The Anaphylaxis Campaign is now developing an online version, thanks to generous sponsorship from Lincoln Medical Ltd.

The Anaphylaxis Campaign has already helped over 1,800 school nurses, spanning every PCT in the UK, to train teachers, parents, carers and pupils in managing severely allergic pupils in schools. However, there are still many that need this training and so this sponsorship is very important to The Anaphylaxis Campaign in helping it spread the word.

The aim of the initial AllergyWise programme is to improve the quality of life of all children with severe allergies in a school environment and the training covers best practice in relation to allergen avoidance, early recognition of symptoms and crisis management.

The online version of the AllergyWise training and resources will be appropriate for anyone with responsibility for training others in anaphylaxis and severe allergies. There will also be a shorter version produced that is suitable for anyone wanting to improve their own knowledge of severe allergies and crisis management email us for more information.

New Higher Dose Anapen now available

A new higher dose Anapen - 0.5mg is now available. Anapen 500 is available from pharmacies throughout the UK. Further information is availalbe on the Anapen website www.anapen.co.uk.
